Listening through the noise!

Have you ever heard a Katydid bug making all that noise up in a tree? It get's really loud where you can't even hear the rest of the insects. I was laying in bed last night and waiting to hear the insects outside my window to sing me to sleep. Well my air conditioner in the room was making it hard to hear. So I listened a little longer and heard one faint sound like a chirp. God laid this on my heart.

I asked Him to keep it there until morning..

Well anyway, when we are trying to hear God's voice all the noise of the world blocks out His Words, we can't hear..Just like the Kadydid bug blocks out all the other insects while they are singing his voice is louder, like us, we try to hear God and all the noise of the world is blocking out His voice, we have to focus on His voice not the voices of the world.

It can get really noisy out there, we have to focus on the Lord's voice not the voices around us, these voices will lead us right away from God's voice.

Into His Arms I Fall!

1 Kings 19:11-13

New International Version (NIV)

11 The Lord said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.”

Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. 12 After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. 13 When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave.

Then a voice said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”
